By accessing or using the Depthline platform ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Depthline provides sonar-based underwater cave mapping software, including data processing, 3D map generation, dive logging, route planning, and community features. The Service requires compatible sonar hardware, which is sold separately.
You must create an account to use Depthline. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
You agree to use Depthline responsibly and in accordance with all applicable laws. You will not upload malicious data, attempt to compromise the platform's security, misrepresent cave conditions in shared maps, or use the Service to facilitate reckless or dangerous diving practices.
Depthline is a mapping and planning tool. It is not a substitute for proper dive training, certification, or judgment. You are solely responsible for your safety while diving. Cave diving and overhead-environment diving carry inherent risks that no software can eliminate. Always dive within your training and certification limits.
You retain ownership of the sonar data you capture and the dive logs you create. By contributing maps to the Community Cave Atlas, you grant Depthline a non-exclusive license to display and distribute those maps to other users. You can revoke this license by withdrawing your contributed maps.
The Depthline platform, including its software, design, and branding, is owned by Depthline. You may not copy, modify, or reverse-engineer any part of the platform without written permission.
Paid plans are billed monthly or annually. You can cancel at any time from your account settings. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. Prices are subject to change with 30 days notice.
Depthline is provided "as is." We make no warranties about the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of cave maps generated by the platform. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Depthline shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including any damages arising from diving activities.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. You can delete your account at any time from your account settings.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll provide 14 days notice of significant changes. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
